Is a gap year of any value? Used wisely this is a time to accomplish extraordinary things, to transform lives. It can broaden the mind, change attitudes, identify goals, build self-confidence and teach a host of personal and marketable skills. Universities and employers welcome motivated and well-rounded individuals with experience of the world beyond school.
Why use a consultant? The potential benefits of a gap year are substantial. An experienced professional knows what is possible and, crucially, how best to achieve it. By taking impartial and informed advice you avoid false starts and frustration, as well as the emotional and financial costs of getting it wrong. We start with guidance on university application procedures and then deal with the full spectrum of gap year opportunities, finally we provide what is needed to turn a dream into reality. See Our Service for further details.
When is the best time for a consultation? Ideally gaps should be mapped out before entering the final year at school – prior to UCAS and Oxbridge applications, and the scrutiny of university admissions tutors. However, we are available at any time. The Director conducts all interviews. We do not arrange gaps - to do so would diminish their value - we listen, discuss, guide and help you plan your own. See Our Service for further details.
